Alex Sawyer has been a bully and a thief for several years. He started by taking money from kids on the playground and quickly escalated to breaking into houses. Even though he’s a petty thief, he hasn’t participated in any violent behavior. So when he is framed for the murder of his best friend while they were in the middle of robbing a house he panics and runs for his life. Unfortunately, he is caught and sent to the most secure prison for young offenders. Furnace Penitentiary is buried miles beneath the earth’s surface. There is only one way in and out and it doesn’t take long for Alex to realize just how dangerous Furnace is. The evil warden, the giant guards he calls the Black Suits, and the monstrous skinless dogs make life in the prison unbearable. The most frightening thing for Alex is when the creepy Weezers in gas masks stalk the cells to choose their next victims. Once the Weezers make their choices the Black Suits grab the inmates and drag them kicking and screaming from the cells. They are never heard from again.Alex knows Furnace is evil and becomes desperate to find an escape. With the help of his cellmate and another friend, they set off to find a way out. Will they be able to fool construct a plan? Will they be able to keep a secret from the Black Suits and the other inmates? If they do get out will they be able to tell the world about the horrors of the prison and save the kids inside?LOCKDOWN (ESCAPE FROM FURNACE #1) is creepy and gruesome.
